Needs Assessment Survey for DYCD-Funded Organizations

As a collaborative of organizations, Support Center, Community Resource Exchange, ExpandED Schools, FMA, and Partnership for After School Education provide "capacity building" supports to many DYCD-funded organizations. They have released this survey to receive feedback from DYCD providers to determine where and how their supports can be most helpful. The deadline to complete the survey is November 18, 2020.

2020-2021 Equity Guides

COVID-19 is affecting everyone — but it is not affecting everyone equally. Students of color and their families find themselves enduring a pandemic that disproportionately impacts their health, mired in an economic crisis that disproportionately affects their financial well-being, and living in a country that too often still struggles to recognize their humanity. Based on nationwide polling data, The Alliance for Resource Equity has released tools and resources to help education leaders and advocates in your community build common understandings of the issues and how to talk about them.

FAFSA: The How-To Guide for High School Students (And the Adults Who Help Them)

The Center for New York City Affairs has published the fall 2020 edition of their popular guide for high school students who are applying to college and beginning their all-important quest for financial aid: FAFSA: The How-To Guide for High School Students (And the Adults Who Help Them). The guide explains how the form works and confronts the often-confusing issues around citizenship and how the FAFSA defines parents and households. The guide also explains the FAFSA verification process and includes an extensive section on how to compare college financial aid offers.
