Webinar: "Careers in Sports"

Join ExpandED for a “Careers in Sports” virtual panel on July 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM, geared towards helping middle school students and educators glimpse into various careers in the sports world for early exploration. This event builds on a successful previous event in April co-hosted by DYCD and ExpandED for DYCD-funded programs, which you can read about in a recent LinkedIn post. Report: “Solving the Staffing Crisis Facing NYC’s Human Services Organizations"

Earlier this year, Center for an Urban Future published a report entitled “Solving the Staffing Crisis Facing NYC’s Human Services Organizations.” Citing that the average human services nonprofit has more than 15 percent of its positions vacant, as well as unsustainably high levels of staff turnover, the report does a deep dive into this issue on a local level. The report examines the scope of the crisis, explores its impact on nonprofits and service delivery, highlights best practices within the local human services field, and ends with recommendations. Webinar: "Children's Books: From Access to Opportunity"

Join the Campaign for Grade Level Reading and Early Learning Nation on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM for their next Learning Tuesday Webinar, a conversation entitled “Children's Books: From Access to Opportunity.” Panelists will discuss youth book access and bring perspectives from journalism, research, and the nonprofit sector.
