The Power of 3:00 Ambassador program offers participants the opportunity to channel their passion for afterschool, summer, and expanded learning programs through advocacy. The program hosts passionate afterschool, summer, and expanded learning providers and supporters from across New York State to work directly with staff from the Network’s Policy Department to develop the advocacy and media skills to become effective advocates for the youth they serve. Applications are due December 3, 2021 at 5:00 PM.

The most recent How Kids Learn Speaker's Forum covered Afterschool as a Teacher Pathway. The purpose of the webinar was to inform and encourage OST leaders on how best to develop/join and promote an afterschool to teacher pathway while they captured and shared valuable and intriguing ideas from educational and OST leaders. The recording of that session is now available along with the slide deck that was shared during the presentation.

The National Summer Learning Association recently held its 2021 Summer Changes Everything National Conference. The plenary sessions from that conference can now be found on their YouTube channel. The sessions include panels and conversations covering Leaning into Leadership, Lessons Learned and the Light of Covid, Seizing this Watershed Moment in Education, and The Future of Equity-Centric Philanthropy and Systemic Transformation.
