DOROT Summer Teen Internship Program

DOROT Summer Teen Internship Program brings together a diverse group of teens and older adults (age 65+) for four weeks of nonstop connection and discovery. Interns gain leadership skills by facilitating activities, managing projects, and leading discussions on current events – all while earning 100+ community service hours. The internship will be a hybrid; two to three days a week in-person and one or two days will be virtual. Learn more and apply.

DCTV Summer Media Intensive

DCTV is accepting applications for their Summer Media Intensive which takes place from July 5, 2022 - July 29, 2022. NYC youth are invited to participate in an interactive, hands-on learning experience in filmmaking where they can take their ideas on a journey from imagination to creation. Pre-production to post-production, students build skills in pitching, camera operation, interviewing, editing, and media literacy. The deadline to apply is June 5, 2022.

TECH360 Summer Bootcamp

America on Tech is accepting applications for their TECH360 Summer Bootcamp, an intensive, 3-week program where participants will learn how to code through web design and web development. The program will teach industry-aligned technical and professional skills and help participants gain knowledge of key coding languages and frameworks including HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. This program runs between July 2022 and August 2022. No prior coding experience required. The priority deadline to apply is May 15, 2022 and the final deadline is June 5, 2022.

Summer Learning Toolkit

During the summer, low-income students lose ground compared to their wealthier peers. But summer can also be a time to help level the playing field through high-quality, summer learning programs that research shows produce measurable benefits in math, reading, and social and emotional learning. The Wallace Foundation put together a Summer Learning Toolkit consisting of 50, evidence-based tools and resources to help educators deliver programs that make a real difference.

Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

Every year, the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans supports thirty New Americans, immigrants or the children of immigrants, who are pursuing graduate school in the United States. Each Fellowship supports one to two years of graduate study in any field and in any advanced degree-granting program in the United States. Each award is for up to a total of $90,000. Most importantly, new Fellows join a strong community of current and past Fellows who all share the New American experience. Learn more and apply.

2022 Spark Prize

The Brooklyn Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the Spark Prize. In total, they will distribute over $600,000 to honor the work of values-driven Brooklyn nonprofits that have demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing racial justice in Brooklyn and have a dynamic vision for the future of their organization. Finalists will be notified in October 2022, and winners will be announced in January 2023. Applications must be submitted before June 24, 2022.
