Barbershop Books E-Library

Barbershop Books inspires Black boys and other vulnerable children to read for fun. Their e-library offers a diverse collection of fun independently published e-books from Black and Brown authors. They also offer storytime videos of books read aloud by Barbershop Books staff for youth to enjoy.

Write to Recognition Mentorship Program

Writopia Lab is looking for young writers, ages 8 - 18, to join their 2022-2023 school year Write to Recognition (W2R) Mentorship program. W2R is a scholarship program that empowers kids as thinkers, writers, and leaders, and helps them develop into strong candidates for college admissions. If you know a writer, or several writers, who might be interested, please email w2r@writopialab.org with the name of the writer, their contact information, and why you nominate them to join the program.
