N-YHS Student Historian Internship

New-York Historical Society's Student Historian Internship is open to high school students, entering grades 10, 11, or 12. Interns meet with professional staff to learn about careers in the museum, library, and history fields; work collaboratively with fellow students to develop their public speaking and leadership skills; and engage in hands-on work to deepen their understanding of American history. Sessions take place every Wednesday from October 19, 2022 – June 7, 2023. Apply by September 25, 2022.

DCTV's Image Makers After-School Program

DCTV Image Makers program provides free-of-charge afterschool programming in Media to NYC high schools and youth organizations. Students get hands-on experience with all aspects of filmmaking, from story development and writing to production, editing, and community engagement. Reel Works Documentary Programs

Reel Works is now accepting applications for The Documentary Fellows and The Documentary Lab Workshop. The Documentary Fellows is a free, intensive filmmaking workshop that pairs young filmmakers 1:1 with professional mentors. Workshops take place every Tuesday & Thursday from October 18, 2022 - May 18, 2023. The Documentary Lab Workshop pairs Brooklyn teens with professional filmmaker mentors to create short personal films about their lives and communities. Workshops take place every Monday & Tuesday from October 24, 2022 - April 18, 2023. The deadline to apply to either program is October 5, 2022.

Youth Voices Lead

ARTE is accepting applications for Youth Voices Lead, a digital community training program for youth organizers (ages 15-18) to strengthen their human rights knowledge and artistic tools and discover how to take action for racial justice change. This program will provide emerging youth leaders from across the country the opportunity to engage around the social justice issues directly impacting their communities. Apply by September 30, 2022.
