Age Diversifying Your Board with GoGenerate

Is your organization ready to build a more age-diverse board? CoGenerate is hosting a virtual session on this topic on April 30, 2026 at 7:00PM, centered on open conversation and honest reflection. Participants will hear from three leaders spearheading efforts to diversify board involvement. The conversation will explore how to build stronger boards by drawing on the distinct strengths, perspectives, and brilliance of both younger and older leaders. Youth, AI, and the Relationships that Shape Them from The Rithm Project

In preparing their “Youth, AI, and the Relationships that Shape Them” report, The Rithm Project surveyed over 2000 young people ages 13-24 about their AI usage, how existing social connections shape their AI usage (or lack thereof), and how AI is shaping their relationships moving forward. The research found four common clusters of how youth engage with AI, which the report dives into in detail along with nine distinct user portraits. The report concludes with implications for key groups, including educators. Dive into the full digital report here.

Co-Creating Hope, Power, Partnership, and Youth-Led Innovation with Hopelab and University of Pennsylvania

What does it mean to truly share power with young people – not just in rhetoric, but in research, funding, and strategy? On May 4, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM, The Center for Social Impact Strategy at UPenn is hosting a virtual talk with Joshua Lavra of Hopelab to answer this question. Hopelab works at the intersection of youth well-being, technology, and equity, and this talk will highlight concrete stories of co-creating with young people, and the messy, generative work of designing more hopeful futures. The Spring 2026 issue of National AfterSchool Association’s bi-annual digital publication, AfterSchool Today, is now live. This issue looks at the theme of recognition through several lenses, including how recognition can support youth voice, staff retention, and program culture.
