Do you know a community college student looking to successfully transfer to and complete bachelor's degree programs at highly selective colleges and universities? Kaplan Leadership Program from Kaplan Education Foundation might be a program to consider. The Kaplan Leadership Program invests comprehensively in students’ academic and professional future, ensuring success throughout their entire journey. Moth Youth Storytelling Programs

Do you know students who are interested in storytelling and public speaking? The Moth, a nonprofit dedicated to the art & craft of storytelling, has some upcoming programs in this area. 10th-12th grade high school students can participate this Fall in Virtual or In-Person Story Labs, out-of-school storytelling workshop series that provide opportunities to build storytelling skills and practice publicly. Interested high school students can apply to both programs through this virtual application form. There are also multiple opportunities for college-aged students, including storytelling workshops for current CUNY and SUNY students. Interested CUNY and SUNY students can apply through this form

Staging Pride: Queer Youth Theater Accepting Applications

National Queer Theater seeks LGBTQ+ youth ages 12-18 for a fun, free after school acting program at The Door (555 Broome Street, NYC). Staging Pride: Queer Youth Theater offers acting, drag, and playwriting classes, Broadway field trips, free dinner, and guest masterclasses from NYC's top queer artists. Workshops are Mondays and Fridays 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM from September 30, 2024 to December 13, 2024. Apply now at via the virtual form on the National Queer Theater website.

Apply for 2024-2025 School Year Programs at HEAF

HEAF is a tuition-free comprehensive supplemental education and youth development organization. HEAF works to help motivated middle and high school students develop their intellectual curiosity, academic ability, social values, and more through afterschool and summer programming, including college access and success programming. Learn more about HEAF's programming, eligibility criteria, and admissions process, and then apply today to participate in the 2024-2025 school year.

NYPL Intensive College and Career Access Network

The New York Public Library has opened applications for their Intensive College and Career Access Network, which serves incoming 10th, 11th, and 12th graders who live or go to school in New York City. The program includes workshops on a range of topics, including the college search, essay writing skills, getting strong recommendations, financial aid, and more. Participants also receive one-on-one support from trained NYPL staff to guide a range of aspects of their postsecondary pathways. Apply online by August 30, 2024.
