Emily Haghtalab

New York Junior Tennis and Learning

Emily is the lead social worker at New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL), where she leads emotional wellness programming and supervises a cohort of 10-14 social work interns across 30+ afterschool sites. With over nine years of experience in trauma-informed care, SEL, and restorative practices, Emily specializes in making mental health practical — not clinical — for youth development staff. She’s trained hundreds of group leaders and site directors in strategies they can actually use in fast-paced program settings, from calming a chaotic group to supporting students in crisis.
