
Dr. Tanya Williams
Tanya Williams, M.D., F.A.A.P. is a board-certified and subspecialty-trained pediatrician, currently serving as a practice consultant for the private orthopedic practice of Dr. Riley J. Williams III at New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery.
Previously, Dr. Williams was the Chief Operating Officer and Director/Owner of R2T2 Laboratories Inc., a start-up company known for its development of Therma1™ products. She also held a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she served as Director of the Child and Family Support Program.
After stepping away from clinical practice to raise her daughters, Dr. Williams dedicated herself to volunteer leadership, including serving as President of the Parents' Association at Marymount School of New York and as a member of the school’s Board of Trustees. She later joined the Board of Trustees of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and remains actively involved in the arts as a member of the Acquisition Committee for the Studio Museum in Harlem.
Currently, Dr. Williams is focusing her spare time on rehabilitating distressed properties in the Los Angeles and Long Island communities she holds dear.
She earned a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Southern California and an M.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her pediatric residency and fellowship training were completed at New York Presbyterian Hospital–Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Williams lives in New York City with her husband, Dr. Riley J. Williams III, and they have two adult children.
