Peg Tyre

EGF Accelerator

Peg Tyre joined the EGF Accelerator in 2011 after a 20+ year career as an author and journalist. She is a New York Times bestselling author of two books on education and most recently authored a policy paper for Georgetown University’s Future-Ed, a think tank where she serves as a senior fellow. She has written for, or been featured in, The New York Times, The New York Times magazine, the Atlantic, Newsweek, People, Politico, Scientific American, Fast Company, among others. At the EGF Accelerator, she helped launch Quill.org, a nonprofit education technology organization which now serves 3 million students, and was an early supporter of Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics. She launched and runs the Fellows program for early stage nonprofit leaders — now in its fifth year — which has incubated more than thirty nonprofit organizations operating in New York City.
