Fueling our Nonprofits for Tomorrow: Design an Effective Junior Board

Past Event: 2022

This event has already passed.

As nonprofit leaders, we are constantly moving at 200mph because the services we provide young people are important for their well-being. Achieving this type of velocity requires a synchronized team, including teammates who may go unnoticed like our junior boards.

Creating a highly effective junior board can be game-changing because they, when activated, provide critical support that can make a difference Their passion, relentless optimism and orientation towards action may provide us the energy that we need to make it through another fiscal year. Moreover, their growing philanthropic capacity may fuel and sustain our organization in the years to come. Participate in this interactive workshop to take action towards (re)designing a meaningful junior board experience. Through discussion and short activities, we will each identify 2-3 ways to engage our junior board in alignment with the organizational strategy. We will collectively build a repository of ideas (new and tried-and-true) that we can take to our respective organizations.

These Fund Development workshops are intended for senior leadership and development staff of DYCD contracted agencies.

This professional development opportunity is provided at no cost to you but has a per participant value of $60 for DYCD. If you register for and are subsequently unable to participate you are responsible for cancelling your registration or risk being waitlisted for future events.
