February 03, 2026 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
This workshop is intended for DYCD funded organizations.
In order to register for this event you need to or first.
This online session introduces educators and youth program staff to a practical way of understanding student behavior. Participants will explore how behavior serves a purpose, learn to identify what students may be trying to get or avoid, and practice responding with curiosity rather than reaction. By focusing on strengths-based strategies and teaching replacement behaviors, staff can reduce disruptions, strengthen relationships, and create more time for meaningful programming.
This workshop is intended for DYCD funded organizations. DYCD Staff are welcome. This professional development opportunity is provided at no cost to you but has a value of $230 for DYCD. If you register for and are subsequently unable to attend this session you are responsible for cancelling your registration or risk being waitlisted for future events.
