EITC Awareness Day

On January 31, 2015, the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) is holding a phone-a-thon to let working families know about the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Care Tax Credit. Every year, about 25% of eligible working families fail to claim their tax credits - anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 - because they do not know about these programs. The DCA is seeking volunteers for this two-hour event. Click here to see the list of phone-a-thon locations and to register as a volunteer.
