Leveraging Youth Voice and Advocacy to Support Pathways to Success events

American Youth Policy Forum is hosting a webinar, Leveraging Youth Voice and Advocacy to Support Pathways to Success, on December 7, 2016 from 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm ET. This webinar will feature the voices of young people and highlight programs that are effectively leveraging youth voice and advocacy to promote policy change and support youth development, putting youth on pathways to success in education, work, and civic life. Speakers will include representatives from United Teen Equality Center, Foster Youth in Action, and The Mockingbird Society. Register to participate.

Students for Equitable Education (SEE) Summit

In partnership with nine school districts, Digital Promise is hosting the Students for Equitable Education (SEE) Summit, a free, national social justice summit envisioned and led by students across the country. The SEE Summit will radically cede power to young people; call on educators to face the racist, demoralizing structures, policies, and practices that exist in education; strengthen dialogue and collaboration between students and school staff; and spur a collective commitment to advance inclusive, anti-racist classrooms. The event will take place on April 24, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Registration is now open.

I C the Future: Report backs from Intergenerational Research Teams​

Intergenerational Change Initiative presents, I C the Future: Report backs from Intergenerational Research Teams. Join them on April 7, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM as youth and adult researchers from the CUNY SPS Youth Studies Program share back findings related to the experiences of immigrant and refugee youth and families during COVID-19. Also, results from ICI’s Youth Ask Youth census about the experiences, desires, and dreams of New Yorkers ages 13-24 in relation to Economics, Community, Learning, Health & Relationships, COVID-19, and Policing. 2021 Global Kids Annual Youth Conference

Global Kids' annual youth-organized and youth-led conference will be held virtually on April 1, 2021 from 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM. This year's conference theme is "Government, Economic Equality, and Human Rights" and will bring together hundreds of young people from public schools and youth organizations for workshops on topics such as poverty criminalization, child labor, immigration, and other government instated human rights violations. Plenary sessions will feature speakers and creative performances and participants will develop strategies to create change on these important issues. Educators looking to bring groups of youth to the conference can pre-register here. All other adults can register here. La Fuerza de Familias Latinas National Campaign Launch

Literacy Partners' La Fuerza de Familias Latinas initiative offers workshops and educational media so that Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers of children ages 0-7 can strengthen the literacy skills they need to succeed in today’s world. United Community Centers will be hosting a COVID-19 Vaccine Education Series, Community Members Community Voices. The first session of the series will take place on March 17, 2021 from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM. The session will include a moderated discussion with a group of panelists. The NYS Network for Youth Success invites you and your team to a conversation about the available vaccines.
