National Geographic Online Meetups on Geo-Education

National Geographic is holding a series of online meetups for educators around the world to share ideas and gain innovative teaching strategies around geo-education, which includes the in-school and out-of-school experiences that teach young people to understand how our world functions and how people, places, and environments interconnect. Meetups are generally held on the first Tuesday of each month, and each month has a different theme. Educators across disciplines will discuss how to incorporate these themes in their lessons and activities. Upcoming themes include Outdoor Learning and Environmental Stewardship on November 5, 2014, World Languages and Cultures on December 2, 2014, and Community and Civic Engagement on January 6, 2014Registration is required.
