Workshop: Fostering Global Competency among our Students

As a member of the Global Education Coalition of New York City (GEC-NYC), PASE is pleased to share a workshop, "Fostering Global Competency among our Students," taking place on July 22, 2014 at Bank Street College of Education. This workshop provides both formal and non-formal educators and school administrators with an in-depth understanding of global competency. Participants learn how to integrate global themes into the curriculum as required by the Common Core Standards and how to practically apply the concept of global competency in the classroom. Topics include conceptual frameworks on global and intercultural competencies, how to utilize cultural exchanges and technology to engage students with the world. Registration is $45 before July 1, 2014 and $65 after that date, and the registration deadline is July 15, 2014.

PASE believes all kids deserve a safe, nurturing space during out-of-school time where they have opportunities to explore their passions while connecting with and learning from caring adults. We exist to improve the quality of afterschool programs for children and teens living in poverty.
