2026 Multilingual and Immigrant Family Conference with NYCPS

The NYCPS Office of Multilingual Learners (OML) will host the annual Multilingual and Immigrant Family Conference on April 22, 2026 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Fordham University, with some portions that can be attended virtually. This event is an opportunity to celebrate multilingualism and culture while connecting families to valuable school- and community-based resources. The conference will include engaging workshops, community resource tables, cultural celebrations, and family-friendly activities. There will be food, fun, and meaningful opportunities for families to build connections and access information that supports their children’s success. Rule Breakers Film Screening with Bank Street College of Education

Join Bank Street College of Education on April 17, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM for a free in-person screening of Rule Breakers, a movie based on the true story of Afghanistan’s first all-girls robotics team, competing in international competition. The screening will be followed by a conversation between Laura Overdeck, Rule Breakers' producer, and Suzanne McCotter, Bank Street’s Dean of Graduate Education.

Our Schools. Our Future: Conversations with the Chancellor with NYCPS

Do you want a chance to be in conversation with the newly-appointed New York City Public Schools Chancellor? Chancellor Kamar H. Samuels still has several March dates left on Our Schools. Our Future: Conversations with the Chancellor, a five-borough community engagement series. The goal of this tour is for NYCPS leadership to engage with students, families, educators, staff, and community partners on critical school issues, and to hear ideas from families about how to better involve them in decision making processes. In these conversations, Chancellor Samuels will reflect on what safety, academic rigor, and true integration look like in practice.   Check out the tour dates and stops via this flyer – there is still one date in each borough. STEM2CITY Career Fair with the American Museum of Natural History

STEM2CITY is a new career fair to connect young people ages 16–24 with representatives from 15+ New York City government agencies, hosted by the American Museum of Natural History. On March 26, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, participants can explore a wide range of public-sector careers (STEM and non-STEM) that make a tangible impact on our city and community. The fair will feature jobs and internships for high school students, college students, and recent graduates. In addition to the opportunity to learn about and apply for these jobs, participants will be able to network with representatives from 15+ NYC agencies and connect with peers.
