2025 Lights On Afterschool

Lights On Afterschool, a project of Afterschool Alliance and a national celebration of afterschool, is just under two months away on October 23, 2025. Since 2000, Lights On Afterschool has been celebrated nationwide to call attention to the importance of afterschool programs for America's children, families and communities. Today, more than 8,000 Lights On Afterschool rallies are held annually, attracting 1 million Americans and media coverage nationwide. If you're planning to join the movement this year, Afterschool Alliance has a website with materials to help you plan your event, including event ideas and strategies to engage policymakers and elected officials. High Impact Tutoring Showcase with ExpandEd Schools

ExpandEd Schools is hosting a High Impact Tutoring Showcase and Tutor Provider Fair on June 18, 2025 from 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM at Jay Suites - Chelsea (159 W 25th St, 2nd Floor, New York, NY). This showcase will focus on successful high-impact tutoring programs from across the city, with a range of school leaders and HIT program staff highlighting efforts that span early literacy and middle school math, in both afterschool and school-day settings. Presentations will explore how teams are building strong school-based tutoring systems, integrating tutoring with intervention strategies and their school culture, and deepening impact year over year.
