Teacher Training Institute with Chess in The Schools

Join Chess in The Schools for their upcoming Teacher Training Institute session, which teaches New York City public school educators to implement a chess program at their school. This free one-day workshop includes training and additional digital resources. The in-person session will take place on June 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the Chess in The Schools office (520 Eighth Avenue, 22nd Floor, New York, NY). STEAM Kits from HYPOTHEkids

Is your afterschool or summer program seeking affordable STEAM lessons? HYPOTHEkids has affordable STEAM kits for K-8th grade learners. Kits include facilitator guides, student-facing slideshows, and activity supplies, along with virtual training and support. Each kit includes 16 hands-on lessons, and topics include living nature, our universe and beyond, and engineering. Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

Every year, The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans (PD Soros) supports thirty New Americans— immigrants or the children of immigrants—who are pursuing graduate or professional school in the United States. Each fellowship supports one to two years of graduate study in any field and in any advanced degree-granting program in the United States, totaling up to $90,000. Additionally, Fellows join a strong community of current and past Fellows and have access to the alumni association, which hosts events around the country. Make sure to check out the full eligibility requirements before applying. Applications for the 2026 cohort are open now and the deadline to apply is October 30, 2025.

College Admissions Workshops with Coalition for College

Are you looking for new support and resources for your college access programming? The Coalition for College and Schoolhouse.world have developed College Admissions Workshops, a new, scalable model for free college access support. These free, virtual, small group workshops led by trained college students are designed to help high school students make progress through the college search, application, and financial aid process. Join the Coalition for College team on May 6, 2025 from 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM for an info session through which you can see sample curricula, learn more about scheduling and format, learn about how the workshops can enhance your current programming, and more. 2025-2026 Network of Inclusive Education with Tanenbaum

Are you passionate about reaching students of all backgrounds and do you want to engage religious and cultural differences in a way that supports students to feel safe, heard, and respected? Tanenbaum is currently recruiting K-12 educators for the 2025-2026 cohort of the Network of Inclusive Education. This cohort is an opportunity to build pedagogical skills with mentors and deliver unique educational experiences for students with Tanenbaum’s curricular resources. Network members will participate in hour-long monthly remote discussion sessions, work one-on-one with mentors monthly, and gain access to Tanenbaum’s library of resources. By the end of the cohort, members will collaborate on producing at least two additional educational resources for the Tanenbaum website and implement a unique project for their students. Participants will receive a $2,000 stipend for their work. Fill out the online form to apply today.
