Connected for Kids Launch Webinar

Curious about how various youth-serving systems can collaborate and coordinate to help youth thrive? Join Connected for Kids on November 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM for their virtual launch event. Led by Child Trends and the Thrive Center at Georgetown University, this new national effort will bring together leaders across education, health, youth development, mental health, and community development to co-create a shared roadmap for flourishing in the elementary years. Join the conversation to hear from national leaders about how we can build a more connected, coordinated approach to help every child grow up healthy, supported, and full of possibility. Gen Z and the Future of Democracy with Everyday Democracy and Civics Unplugged

Join Everyday Democracy and Civics Unplugged on November 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM for a virtual panel discussion, “Gen Z and the Future of Democracy.” The conversation will feature two youth organizing leaders and their perspectives on a range of topics, including messaging that resonates with young people (and that pushes them away), the role of online spaces and misinformation, and how older allies can better partner with and engage youth. Building NYC’s Future: A Children’s Agenda for the Next Mayor and City Leaders with Children’s Committee for Children of New York

Join Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York (CCC) for the final two portions of their three-part webinar series – Building NYC’s Future: A Children’s Agenda for the next Mayor and City Leaders – spotlighting fact-based policy solutions to some of the most urgent challenges and charting a course to ensuring every child is healthy, housed, educated, and safe. The second session, on November 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM, will focus on supports for families experiencing housing instability. The Julian Robertson Award for Excellence in Teaching

Nominations are open for The Julian Robertson Award for Excellence in Teaching, an annual prize to recognize, honor, and celebrate great teachers in New York City. The Award will honor up to 10 NYC classroom teachers, from early childhood – 12th grade, across the five boroughs with an unrestricted cash prize of $20,000. To be considered for this prize, teachers must first be nominated by someone in their school community who wishes to recognize the outstanding dedication and leadership they bring to school every day. Teachers are welcome to nominate themselves. Head to the digital nomination form to submit your nomination by October 30, 2025
