Fair Fares Program

Earlier this year, the income eligibility for the Fair Fares program was updated to expand services. The new Fair Fares income limits can be found here. With Fair Fares NYC, eligible New York City residents receive a 50% discount on subway and eligible bus fares. Pay-per-Ride, weekly unlimited, and monthly unlimited options are all available. Fair Fares can also provide 50% off MTA Access-A-Ride paratransit trips. Learn more, check your eligibility, and apply online at the Fair Fares website.

New Resources and Supports through Coalition for Youth Development Intermediaries

The Coalition of Youth Development Intermediaries (CYDI) is a collective aimed at supporting youth-serving nonprofits as they navigate the current policy and funding landscape.   CYDI is currently amplifying two new opportunities: technical assistance consultations for organizations and individual staff support via annual memberships to the NYS Network for Youth Success (including access to an Employee Assistance Program). Areas of support for technical assistance consultations include data management, fiscal management, fundraising, governance, HR/employment law, leadership, mergers/partnerships, and risk management. Individual staff support via NYS Network for Youth Success (NYSNYS) memberships includes EAP access such as mental health counseling, legal and financial consultation, wellness resources, and more. Webinars with Hip Hop Public Health

Join Hip Hop Public Health for two free 45-minute virtual sessions where you’ll explore dynamic, music-driven educational resources that support students’ physical, emotional, and social well-being. On July 22, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM, discover The ABCs of Me, an elementary-level resource that uses hip hop and movement to teach autonomy, boundaries, and consent (register here). On July 23, 2025 from 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM, dive into the HYPE Collection, a series of energizing dance breaks that make physical activity fun and inclusive (register here). Summer Learning Week with National Summer Learning Association

National Summer Learning Association’s Summer Learning Week is right around the corner, happening on July 14, 2025 – July 18, 2025. Summer Learning Week is a nationwide celebration that elevates the importance of summer learning in keeping kids engaged, safe, and healthy during the summer months. This week shines a spotlight on the vital role high-quality summer programs play in supporting student success and closing the opportunity gap. Summer Learning Week brings together summer programs, educators, community leaders, and policymakers to help communities raise awareness about the importance of summer learning and celebrate the programs making a difference.
