West Side YMCA's Teen Summer Paid Internship

The Westside YMCA's Teen Career Connection is an eight-week comprehensive paid summer internship program, providing NYC youth an unparalleled opportunity. Teens go through two weeks of intensive professional development, followed by six weeks of hands-on learning experience at an organization or business matched to the student's career aspirations. Teens are matched with a professional who serves as their mentor throughout their time in the program. Along with a $1,500 stipend, teens receive an additional $300 stipend to spend on professional attire. NYUSPS Aspire Program - Applications Available for High School Sophomores

The NYU School of Professional Studies High School Academy Aspire is a two-year college prep and mentoring program for high school students from underrepresented communities in the New York metro/tri-state area, who will be first-generation college students. Students apply as sophomores for a summer intensive, July 30 - August 4, 2017, and continue to attend Aspire sessions throughout high school. Each student is paired with a mentor for the duration of the program for online and in-person meetings. Admitted students receive a program scholarship that covers tuition, housing, and meals for the one-week summer intensive. For more information, please contact sps.hsacademy@nyu.edu. Apply Now! BCAPteen Creative Leadership Project

The Brooklyn Public Library's BCAPteen Creative Leadership Project is a 6-week, full-day summer program for teens blending digital media and communications, personal and professional skills, and youth leadership through the lens of filmmaking. Over the course of the summer, 20 teens earn a stipend and volunteer hours while becoming knowledgeable on the Brooklyn Cultural Adventures Program's (BCAP) six cultural institutions and theme, producing creative work that reflects their interests, and contributing back to the BCAP community.
