Emergency Preparedness Survey for Human Services and Faith-based Nonprofits
Human Services Council of New York (HSC) has been working with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's (DOHMH) Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response and New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS) on a Community Preparedness Program designed to improve coordination and preparedness of community based organizations. This 10-minute survey will provide deeper insight into the sector’s readiness needs. If you need any additional information concerning this survey please contact Community Preparedness Program Manager Lou Rivera at firstname.lastname@example.org or (347) 396-2607. Also, HSC has invested in an emergency communications system so that in the event of a disaster, HSC will be able to quickly convey information from NYC government agencies, nonprofit disaster relief organizations, and philanthropy to your staff on the ground. The information that will be shared is intended to help nonprofits understand what resources are available and actions are being taken by government and other stakeholders to help them make informed decisions about their own actions. HSC strongly encourages appropriate staff at your organizations to sign up to receive these critical emergency communications. They are designed specifically for nonprofits and are not meant for the general public. For questions about HSC’s emergency communications system contact Jason Wu at email@example.com.
