Youth Communication is looking for young people in foster care who want to tell their personal stories in ways that will engage and support their peers. Stories will be published in Represent, their award-winning digital publication. Young writers are mentored by full-time professional editors, learning memoir writing, and journalism skills. Peace Corps Information Session

The Peace Corps is offering an online Information Session for Public, Charter and Home School Stakeholders who want to share information with high school students about serving in the Peace Corps on January 31, 2022 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to immerse oneself in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime. Participants can learn about volunteer experiences, ask questions about service, and gain tips to guide them through the application process. Register to attend.

School and Community Programs Mental Health Skill-Building

The Child Mind Institute’s School and Community Programs Mental Health Skill-Building curriculum training program is designed to train school staff to teach students a set of evidence-based coping skills that prepare them to effectively regulate emotions, manage thoughts and behaviors, interact effectively with others, and engage in relaxation and mindfulness practices to navigate stressful situations. 2022 Aim High Grants for Middle School OST Programs

Afterschool Alliance invites out-of-school time programs to apply for a grant opportunity from New York Life Foundation, to support and bolster the ability of afterschool and summer learning programs to help prepare middle school students for success in high school, college, and life. This competitive grant program includes both one- and two-year grant opportunities. Applicants can only apply for one of these grants. RFP application deadline is February 1, 2022.
