College Access in Focus: A Conversation with Highly Selective Institutions

November 05, 2025 8:30 am to 10:30 am

Join us in-person for a dynamic panel discussion featuring representatives from Dartmouth College, Northwestern University, Princeton University, University of Southern California, and Vanderbilt University. This event is designed for community-based organizations (CBOs) who are working with first-gen, low-income students on their college journey.

In order to register for this event you need to or first.

Our panelists will delve into the realities of applying to and attending highly selective colleges, providing insights into the admissions process, the challenges students face, and how CBOs can effectively support students in navigating these opportunities. Topics will include:

  1. Building pathways to college access and success for first-gen, low-income students
  2. Addressing barriers in the application process
  3. The college experience: Beyond academics, understanding campus culture and support systems
  4. The role of community organizations in bridging gaps and promoting success
  5. And more!

This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from admissions officers about how they are working to create accessible pathways for students and the vital role that practitioners play in advancing this mission.
