Community Catalyst Fund with New Yorkers for Children

The Community Catalyst Fund of New Yorkers for Children offers monetary grants and technical assistance to small, community-based organizations, most of which are BIPOC-led and/or led by individuals with lived experience in foster care. All organizations are based in New York City and share a commitment to supporting youth impacted by the child welfare system. Funded efforts will include: direct services, advocacy and policy change, and research. Selected partners will participate in quarterly peer learning communities, where grantees connect with sector experts and one another to share ideas, tools, challenges, and solutions. The next application cycle will formally launch when the RFP is released on August 18, 2025.

Youth Service Capacity-Building Grants with William T. Grant Foundation

The William T. Grant Foundation is accepting applications for their Youth Service Capacity-Building Grants (YSCG) program. This program supports activities to strengthen the organizational infrastructure of small nonprofit organizations in the five boroughs of New York City that provide direct services to young people ages 5 to 25. The grants provide general operating support over a 3-year term for small organizations (with operating budgets of $250,000 to $1 million) that have demonstrated capacity-building needs ranging from financial management, board recruitment, human resources, fundraising, evaluation, and more. Visit the website to read the full eligibility requirements and how to apply. Applications are due September 18, 2025 at 3:00 PM.

Grant Program for Girls Sports – Gainbridge Assists Powered by Parity

Are you an organization that supports girls and women in sports and/or education? Consider applying for the Gainbridge Assists Powered by Parity grant program. In honor of the $5,000 check Billie Jean King used to start the Women’s Sports Foundation® 51 years ago, Gainbridge®, Parity, and the Women’s Sports Foundation will award 32 total grants of at least $5,000 each, totaling $222,000, to organizations and Parity Athletes dedicated to advancing girls and/or women in sports and/or education. In addition to the community grants, a $50,000 grant will be awarded in Billie Jean King's honor to one standout organization. Applicants should be located in the U.S., be able to share their impact through storytelling and social media, and be able to implement the grant in November 2025. Call for Feedback - DYCD Concept Paper

The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) has released the concept paper for the Comprehensive After School System Elementary (COMPASS) and School’s Out New York City (SONYC) programs in public schools and other settings. The primary purpose of the COMPASS and SONYC programs is to provide a range of engaging enrichment activities, after school and during holidays and the summer, to help students in kindergarten through Grade 8 to thrive and to support families with childcare. The concept paper is a precursor to a Request for Proposal (RFP), which DYCD anticipates will be released in Fall 2025. The concept paper can be found via PASSPort procurement navigator and DYCD is eager to hear community feedback in order to inform the RFP process. Comments should be submitted via the feedback survey no later than July 11, 2025.

Youth Mental Health Fund with Decolonizing Wealth Project

Decolonizing Wealth Project is launching the Youth Mental Health Fund (YMHF) – a culturally affirming initiative focused on expanding access to community-based mental health care for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth between the ages of 12-24. In addition to supporting community-based programs and partnerships, YMHF will also fund work to shift narratives around care and programs that offer culturally grounded healing experiences that center the unique needs and strengths of marginalized youth living at the intersections. The funding will prioritize three areas: 1) community-based programs, 2) cultural-based healing, and 3) advocacy and awareness campaigns. Applications are due on July 10, 2025 and can be submitted electronically.
