The Power of Choice: Centering Youth Voice in Summer Programming

May 15, 2025 10:00 am to 11:30 am

A workshop for DYCD funded organizations.

In order to register for this event you need to or first.

Summer programs offer a unique opportunity to reimagine learning, exploration, and connection – and youth voice and choice is a key ingredient.   Summer is the perfect time to center youth voice, design programming that reflects young people’s interests and identities, and build opportunities for self expression and shared decision-making.  This online workshop helps practitioners develop an environment that fosters and supports youth involvement, and provides supervisors resources to embed voice and choice into the design and daily rhythm of summer programs.

This workshop is intended for DYCD funded organizations. DYCD Staff are welcome. This professional development opportunity is provided at no cost to you but has a value of $230 for DYCD. If you register for and are subsequently unable to attend this session you are responsible for cancelling your registration or risk being waitlisted for future events.
